Thank you for contacting Sylvan Learning.
The Sylvan Learning centers located in Rolla and West Plains, MO closed on January 31, 2009. The centers were independently owned and operated by Ken and Mary Beth Bristow. The contact information we have on file is (cell phone number) 417-293-4939 and email learningrus@yahoo.com. Attorney, Patrick W. Rodery has been retained to complete the legal aspects of closing the centers. His phone number is 417-926-3440. All account inquiries and requests should be filed with with the Bristow's or their attorney.

DO NOT EVER PAY UP FRONT. They did not stand by the guarantee of 12 free hours IF the child dose not reach 1 full grade level within the 36 hours. Then they closed up with no notice . I reviced a letter from them with an attorney name and phone number. They stated they are filing chater 7. I via e-mail the Corp. Office and I have not yet got any reply from them. I paid $3843.00 dollars up front. Now my son is out his education. Pam, was very nice and the teachers that were there all the time were nice. It seam like a high turn over on teachers. I am not the only one out the money .. others are too.
I can back up my claim.

This guy before me is nuts. He didn't pay 80 per hour. Sylvan kids get attention the entire hour, including both guided instruction and independent work under the direct supervision of a teacher. He should have talked to a director or the owner before spouted off this nonsence.
