New! Fall color slideshow.

Missouri is blessed with a great variety of trees, shrubs and vines. Their leaves turn at different times, ensuring a fall color season that may last four to six weeks. This year, we document these changes in our new online photo slideshow. Also, discover scenic driving routes and learn the current status of forests around the state.

Stop This Killer

The shiny green menace scientists found at Wappapello Lake on July 23 probably arrived in out-of-state firewood. Emerald ash borer, a non-native beetle, has destroyed more than 50 million Midwestern ash trees since the 1990s. Protect Missouri's ash trees. Don't move firewood. Call 866-716-9974 to report EAB sightings.
