If you want to clean out your house or garage and keep the proceeds in the community, we have a great way for you to do so!  The Phelps County Community Partnership has a non profit thrift store, The Partnership Resale Shop.  All profits go to support the programs offered to the community by the Partnership.

Since opening in April 2005, the Partnership Resale Shop has been thrilled by the generous quantity and quality of donations they have received.  The most generous donation by far has been from an anonymous donor who is paying the first year's lease on the building.  Whether you're looking for antiques, a baby stroller, furniture, or pots and pans, the Shop has just what you need!  The Shop sells these donations at 'yard sale' prices to the delight of many regular customers.

The Partnership Resale Shop depends on volunteers to carry out much of its operation.  Volunteers help with receiving, sorting, and stocking the donated items.  The Shop has 'partnered' with many individuals, churches, businesses, and organizations who have volunteered their services since its opening.  To date, volunteers have clocked nearly 2000+ hours!  Volunteers are rewarded with 'shop dollars' to spend at the store as well as first pick on incoming donations.

The staff has already made The Partnership Resale Shop a friendly and welcoming place to shop and a fun, meaningful place to volunteer.

 
We see the future of the Caring Community Center as a place where:

• We can help families become and stay healthy
• Trained volunteer mentors will be matched with families interested in finding and using state services.
• Those needing services can go to just one place for help
• Bring community services (food pantry, clothing, etc.) under one roof
• Agencies and organizations can coordinate services
• Meetings are scheduled to discuss gaps in services and how to best work together
• Those wishing to volunteer their services to the community can find meaningful opportunities to do so
